Description

Introduces basic concepts of computer science through the study of traditional elementary programming, object-oriented programming, debugging, design of objects, and standard algorithms with their analysis.

Prerequisite(s)

Mathematics B30 or Foundations of Mathematics 30 or Pre-Calculus 30.

Note

While designed for students majoring in Computer Science or Bioinformatics, this course is open to all students seeking a solid introduction to computing. Students may receive credit for only one of CMPT 111, CMPT 113 or CMPT 116.
